Care and growth

Keep your companion happy and fit, read its talent, train it, and teach it skills from books.

Updated

Intimacy

Intimacy is your bond, shown as happiness: Devoted, Happy, Content, Wary, then Cold. It slowly fades while the pet rests and while you are away. At zero a companion sits out of battle until you feed it. Pet food from the pet shops brings it back.

Vitality

Vitality is a companion's energy for fighting. A fresh, energetic pet fights harder. A companion that is knocked out in battle loses vitality, and pet food brings it back.

Talent

Every companion has a talent from 1 to 100, fixed when its soul orb is opened. The pet sheet names its band:

TalentBand
1Trash
2-10Clumsy
11-22Normal
23-34Smart
35-70Genius Star 1, 2 and 3
71-99Supreme Star 1, 2 and 3
100Perfect

A higher talent grows stronger stats every level. Growth is fixed when the orb is opened; only fusion raises it.

Training

A companion earns training points as it levels. Spend them to train a stat: each step takes time, shown on the pet sheet, and can be finished at once with Gold or a Pet Training Card. Several pets can train at the same time.

Skills and books

A companion takes its battle skills in turn, left to right, one per turn, then starts again from the first, skipping any it cannot use yet. Its skills sit on the pet's bar next to your hotbar: drag them there to set the order. Each species has an innate skill. More skills come from pet skill books: use a book from your bag on an open slot. Some slots are already open when the soul orb is opened; a sealed slot may be opened with a Pet Skill Slot Key, and Perfect talent opens the last two. Forgetting a skill is free and opens its slot for another book. Every skill a gacha machine can teach is listed in Pet skills from the gacha.

Fusion and cards

Pet Merchants in the cities run the pet benches: fusion (four different pets, to raise growth) and turning a pet into a card. Combination is not open yet. Each bench says what it takes before you confirm.
