Terms of Service

Tamerland is operated by Ave Lumina ("we", "us"). By creating an account or playing Tamerland you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Alpha software
Tamerland is in alpha. The service is provided as it stands, without any promise of availability, stability or feature completeness. Downtime, bugs, rollbacks and breaking changes are expected.
Characters, items, currency, progress and entire accounts may be wiped or reset at any time, without notice and without compensation. Nothing you accumulate in the alpha is guaranteed to survive into later builds.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials secret and for everything done through your account.
- One person per account. Do not sell, rent, share or transfer accounts.
- Give us an email address you can actually receive mail at; it is how we reach you about your account.
- You must be old enough to consent to these terms where you live, or have a parent or guardian agree on your behalf.
3. Acceptable use
While using Tamerland you must not:
- Use cheats, bots, macros, memory editors, modified clients or any tool that automates play or alters game behaviour.
- Exploit bugs for gain instead of reporting them.
- Attack, overload, scrape or reverse engineer the service, or attempt to reach data or accounts that are not yours.
- Harass, threaten, impersonate or abuse other players or staff, or post unlawful, hateful or sexual content aimed at minors.
- Trade in-game goods, currency or accounts for real money or anything of real value.
- Advertise, spam or run commercial activity in-game.
4. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate an account, and remove or roll back anything on it, if we reasonably believe these terms were broken or the service was harmed. You may stop playing at any time and ask us to delete your account by writing to the address below.
5. No payments during alpha
Tamerland is free to play during the alpha. There is no purchase, subscription or paid currency, and we will never ask you to pay for access. If that ever changes, the terms covering it will be published before any payment is possible.
6. Content and conduct
Character names, guild names, chat and anything else you submit must follow section 3. We may remove or change submitted content, including names, at our discretion. You keep ownership of what you submit and grant us permission to store, display and transmit it as needed to run the service.
7. No warranty and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost progress, lost data, downtime, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Changes
We may update these terms as the game develops. The date at the top changes when we do. Continuing to play after an update means you accept the updated terms.
