Privacy Policy

Tamerland is operated by Ave Lumina. This page explains what we store, why we store it, and how to get rid of it. We keep as little as the game needs to run.
What we store
- Account: your email address and a hashed password. We never store the password itself.
- Game data: your characters, their position, level, inventory, guild, chat messages and anything else the world needs to remember between sessions.
- Technical logs: IP address, timestamps and error traces, written when you connect or when something goes wrong.
Why we store it
To run your account, save your progress, keep one world consistent for everyone in it, and investigate abuse, cheating and crashes. That is the whole list. We do not build advertising profiles.
Cookies
One session cookie, set when you log in, so the server knows the browser is still you. It is not used for tracking and there are no third party cookies on this site.
Third parties
We do not sell, rent or trade your data. There is no third party analytics, advertising or tracking script on this site. Data is shared only with the hosting provider that runs our servers, and where the law requires us to disclose it.
How long we keep it
Account and character data is kept while the account exists. Technical logs are kept only as long as they are useful for debugging and abuse handling, then rotated out. Because Tamerland is in alpha, the database may be wiped entirely between builds.
Your choices
Write to the address below to see what we hold on your account, correct it, or have the account and its data deleted. Deletion is permanent and takes your characters with it.
Security
Passwords are hashed, traffic runs over an encrypted connection, and access to the database is limited to the people who operate the game. No service is perfectly secure, and alpha software least of all, so please use a password you do not reuse anywhere else.
Children
Tamerland is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal data, write to us and we will delete the account.
Changes
We may update this policy as the game develops. The date at the top changes when we do.
