Patch Notes v0.16.8: Level 90, Starforge, Costume Fusion and the Skyward Sanctum
The level cap goes up to 90, pets get Starforge, costumes can now take stars with Costume Fusion, and the Skyward Sanctum is finally open. There's also a new Bazaar, party passes for dungeons, and a long list of fixes and comfort changes.
β¬οΈ Level Cap 90
- New: the level cap goes from 80 to 90.
πΊοΈ Map Level Gates
- Change: every way into a higher map now asks for that map's level (since 5 Nov). Before, the main routes from Kharugna asked for a level but some side roads asked nothing, so a Lv30 character could walk straight into the Gray Zone from Kazan. Now every walked border and every coach into these maps asks for the same level:
- Phaelius: Lv50 (from Galedora Highlands and Kazan)
- Kalar Peninsula: Lv60
- Elven Lands: Lv71
- Gray Zone: Lv85 (from Kazan too, as it already was from Kharugna)
- Why: each gate matches the lowest monster level on that map, so nobody walks into monsters far above them. The way back down and home is always open, with no level needed.
- If you were standing on a map you're now under-level for, you were moved to Kharugna during maintenance. You lost nothing: every item, pet and coin is still with you. Once you reach the level, walk back in.
β¨ New: Starforge (Pets)
- New: Starforge, a new page in Pet Information. Each Forge press costs 1 Gold plus one of each purple material shown for your pet's type (physical or magic). It gives 1 Starforge EXP and rolls a set of 3 bonus lines. Take the new set or keep your old one: a press never fails, and your old set stays until you take a new one.
- Starforge level follows pet level, one for one, up to Starforge Lv60 on a Lv60 pet.
- Starmarks are special lines with their own effect, colour-coded by tier from 1 (white) to 6 (purple). Each press has an 8% chance of a Starmark, and the 25th press without one always gives one. A Starmark's tier goes up one step for every 10 Starforge levels.
- New item: Starseal. Spend one with a press to keep one line exactly as it is while the others roll again. The sealed line shows a padlock.
- New: Starforge Transfer at the Pet Dealer. It moves a pet's whole Starforge onto another pet of the same type for 15 Gold per level, and it never fails. If the receiving pet already has a Starforge, that one is replaced, and the game asks you in red first.
- A Starforge is safe from mistakes: releasing a Starforged pet or turning it into a card asks first, bulk release and pet combination leave it alone, fusing it away warns first, and a locked pet can't be forged.
- On the trade table: if a pet's Starforge or training changes while it's on offer, both confirms clear and both sides are told, so nobody gets a different pet than the one they agreed to.
π New: Costume Fusion and Star Transfer
- New: Costume Fusion at Black Market Dealer Hawk (Kharugna). Raise a costume by one star, up to 10. Each fusion takes 4 other costumes, 1 Costume Fusion Stone and Gold (10 Gold at star 0, then 10 more per star, up to 100). Every star adds its own set of stats. At star 10 that's +120 to every main stat, +1,000 HP and MP, and more.
- The first 4 stars never fail. After that, the 4 costumes you put in set the chance: costumes with higher main stats give more. The costumes alone can take it up to 80%. A Starthread adds more on top: Radiant +20%, Bright +15%, Faint +10%. A failed fusion keeps your star, but the costumes, stone, Gold and Starthread are used up. The window shows the chance before you press.
- Safe by design: a locked costume can be raised but never used up in a fusion, and numbered limited costumes and System Gift costumes are never used up either.
- New: Star Transfer (also at Hawk). It moves every star from one costume to a costume at star 0 for 15 Gold per star, and it never fails. The first costume goes back to star 0 and stays yours. A locked costume can receive stars, but it can't give them.
- Where to get the materials: see the Shops section below. Starthread recipes are crafted from the parchment: open it to see what it needs (2 of each material).
- Buff: Bramble and Marigold (Starlight Wardrobe top prize) gain +150 Physical Defense, on every copy already owned too.
- Change: Matcha Peter Pan Set and Peppermint Wendy (jade prizes) now have the same stats as Seven Niang, the other jade prize: 50 to each main stat (was 60), 14% critical damage (was 20%), and no Physical Defense (was 150). Why: they had been set higher than the top prize by mistake. The costumes themselves stay yours.
π Skyward Sanctum Is Open
- New: the Skyward Sanctum is open to everyone. Its tile is in the HUD menu. Keep your pets (Genius talent or higher) in a constellation series to earn a set bonus for your character. You can take them out at any time, for free.
- A series pays when it's full, at the grade of the weakest pet in it (Genius, Supreme or Perfect). Rare sets of three pay 30% per pet before they're full, and 100% when complete.
- New rare sets: Midnight Ruler (Primordial Nyro, Pocong, Kaperosa): +80/120/180 fire, ice, holy and shadow damage by grade. Sky Rider (Dark Fairy, Crown Garuda, Reindeer Sleight): +80/120/180 physical attack by grade.
- A fish-eye sky you turn by dragging, with drawn constellations. On phones you can pinch to zoom. It no longer keeps a phone busy while it sits open, and it closes by itself when a fight starts.
πͺ Bazaar
- New: one row per item. Stackable items in the Bazaar show as one row, with the lowest price from other players and the total on sale. Pick a row to see its price chart, order book, latest trades and a Buy/Sell form in the side panel. On phones, the side panel has Trade, Chart and Order book tabs.
- New: buy orders. Set your own price and the order waits until someone sells at it. Your Gold is held while it waits and comes back by mail if you cancel or it runs out. Search 2+ letters to place a buy order even for an item nobody is selling.
- Change: every buy and sell asks first, in the Bazaar, Auction House, Lumi Exchange, Tamer Store, NPC shops and stalls. Why: no more accidental purchases.
ποΈ Party Passes
- New: a party pass for each of the 12 dungeons, sold at the dungeon's own door shop for 5 times the normal ticket price. The party leader carries it: one pass at the door opens the bonus rewards for the whole party (up to 5), and members spend none of their own tickets.
- A pass is never wasted: if someone leaves between pressing Enter and the pass being used, nothing is spent and the leader is asked to press Enter again. A leader entering alone uses it only if they have no normal ticket.
πΎ Pets
- Fix: pet HP and MP ignored the Constitution, Intelligence and Spirit a pet gained from Training or Starforge. Now they count: more CON means more HP, and more INT and SPR mean more MP.
- New: reset training for 25 Gold on any pet's Training tab. Every level goes back to 0 and every training point it cost comes back. Pet Cake points are kept.
- Change: training can be started, cancelled and finished during a fight. The fight in progress keeps the pet as it began. The new stats count from the next fight.
- Change: Pet Cake is refused once a pet's training is full, or when the pet already holds every point it can still spend. Why: those points could never be used, so the cake would be wasted. Your cakes stay in your bag. The Training tab now shows "Trained n/300" and "Max level".
- Fix: the character sheet didn't update after you changed your Possession or Defence pet. Now it updates at once.
π Shops and Drops
- Tamer Store, new: Tamer Ticket (7 Days) 350 Lumi (10 a week), Costume Fusion Stone 100 Lumi, Starseal 100 Lumi, Starthread recipes: Radiant 80, Bright 50, Faint 30 Lumi.
- Hell-o-fiend Event Shop, new: Costume Fusion Stone 30 Lanterns, Starseal 30, Radiant Starthread 30, Bright Starthread 25, Faint Starthread 20.
- Church Envoy Andrewson's Ancestral exchange gets a Forge tab (paid in Ancestral Stones): Costume Fusion Stone (1 purple + 1 red + 1 black), Starseal (1 purple + 2 black), Radiant recipe (1 purple + 1 black), Bright recipe (1 red + 1 black), Faint recipe (2 blue). Two pet supplies join too: Pet Skill Slot Key (4 purple + 2 red + 2 black) and a random Lv75 Pet Skill Book (6 purple + 4 red).
- Change: Ancestral Tower stones now drop closer to what a set needs: fewer black and blue, more red and purple. Per run, red goes from about 0.14 to 0.31 and purple from 0.14 to 0.18, while black goes from 0.74 to 0.45 and blue from 0.50 to 0.36.
- Ancestral Legacy (VI): buff: Premium Pet Cake goes from 1% to 10%. Change: Advanced Fusion Stone goes from 20% to 15%.
- Super Treasure Pots stack (up to 99) while unused. A used pot keeps its own cell and its charge. You can trade, mail, stall or list a pot straight from the stack.
- Buff: Repair Vessel holds 5,000 points (was 3,000). Vessels you already own gain the extra 2,000. Fix: it didn't mend your gear after field battles. Now it mends after every battle, and also as soon as it lands in your bag (never in the middle of a fight). Its card shows the points left.
π Hell-o-fiend
- Change: Complete Now works on the Pocong, Reyna Lilia and Village Cooperative dailies after you've handed in once by hand. The Genderuwo daily still has to be fought.
- The Expedition Shop stays open until 8 Nov 13:00 (GMT+7) to spend leftover Expedition Tokens. The Expedition Medal is no longer on its shelf, since nothing uses it now.
π Quality of Life
- New: Dismantle all at the blacksmith. Pick a quality and a level range, see every piece it will take, and confirm once. It never takes locked, bound, starred or socketed gear, costumes or other look items, and never purple or better. If your bag changed after the preview, nothing is dismantled and you're asked to look again.
- New: Auto Sell level range: any level, or only gear under Lv30, Lv60 or Lv100. Widening the range or quality while Auto Sell is on asks first, because it sells matching gear already in your bag.
- New: search the Backpack and warehouse by item name, in English or Indonesian. Matches get a gold ring.
- New: Claim All in Mail. It takes whole letters, oldest first. A letter that won't fit your bag stays whole and unread.
- Change: a character can't be deleted while its mailbox still holds Gold, Lumi or items. Why: before, those were lost with the character. Log in with it and collect them first.
- New: when your connection drops, your crew comes back. If your page reconnects within 2 minutes, every character it carried comes back with it, in the same party under the same leader.
- New: the party leader wears a star coin on their portrait.
- Server news is now one small line that scrolls across the top.
- Target rings now sit on the ground under the monster. In Invoker mode, each of your characters marks its target in its party colour. The target health card no longer pops up when you pick a target.
- Change: names are back on phones: other players' names show again, not only your party's. Settings > Graphics > Players shown now draws as many players as the slider says (up to 100); before, phones were secretly capped at 20.
- The UI keeps one layout on every screen and is scaled as a whole, so windows no longer change shape on wider or taller screens. The warehouse now opens beside the Backpack.
- iPhone and iPad (Safari): a one-time card shows how to Add to Home Screen for the best experience.
- Smoother phones: many parts of the HUD, chat, minimap and fights no longer redraw when nothing changed, so there are fewer stutters in party fights.
- Tamer Pass and Event Center: the Tamer Pass page is more compact and scrolls freely, and the Event Center list is wider.
π οΈ Fixes
- Starward bought with Lumi failed on 1 Nov. Fixed: it works now.
- A daily run started with a Tamer Ticket got stuck for good if the Ticket ran out mid-run. Fixed: the hand-in counts toward today.
- Changing or discarding gear that was on an open trade table could freeze your character in that map until a restart. Fixed.
- A deleted character stayed in its guild's member list until a server restart (and kicking it failed). Fixed: it leaves at once.
- Invoker strips vanished for the rest of a fight after a character drank a potion, and sometimes got stuck or showed the wrong character after a switch. Fixed.
- Red target rings stayed on the world after a fight, and a mage on auto in Invoker showed the wrong target. Fixed.
- A worn-out piece's card lost its orange stat colours. Fixed: the colours stay, and the card still says it gives no stats at 0 durability.
- Smart Buff opened with the previous skill's list. Fixed.
- The door's confirm named the wrong ticket when you carried both a normal ticket and a party pass. Fixed.
- Phones: the chat drawer stayed stretched after the keyboard closed, the chat rail had an empty button, server news covered the chat, Daily Sign-in cut off its last days on iPhone, and Trade hid the other player's offer below the fold. All fixed. Trade now shows both offers side by side.
- Notched phones: some windows left a second gap beside the notch, and the chat drawer didn't reach the edge. Fixed.
- The screen no longer jumps while Android's nav bar or a browser toolbar slides in and out.
- Indonesian: opened letters now show their note in Indonesian.
See you in Tamerland! πΎ
