Patch Notes v0.14.15: Aether, Smart Buff and Trade Chat

The Aether arrives to keep you topped up between fights, Smart Buff lets you choose who gets your buffs, Trade gets its own chat channel, and several stuck quests can be finished again. Here's everything new.

✨ New

  • Aether: pour HP, MP and pet vessels into three bars beside your Backpack. After every fight they top you up first, before any vessel in your bag. Pouring works mid-fight and costs no turn.
  • Smart Buff: from a hotbar slot's menu, choose who gets your single-target buff (Agility, Bow Enhancement, Holy Seal, Titanborn, Prophet's Child) and in what order. On auto, the buff goes to the first person on the list who doesn't have it yet.
  • Trade chat: a new channel for buying and selling, one line a minute.
  • Trade from the party frame: click a teammate's frame and pick Trade.
  • Friends: click a friend for Send mail, Start chat, Inspect and Invite to guild. The list now shows each friend's guild and rank.
  • Link to DM: link items, worn gear and pets straight into a Direct Message.
  • Mail: letters from players stay in your box after you take the attachments, and there is a Reply button. A block no longer stops letters. Your box now holds 50 player letters.

⚔️ Pets

  • Skill books can upgrade: a generic book can now roll a skill your pet already has and raise it in place. A specific book of a higher rank upgrades too.
  • In a fight, pets heal only from skills. Pet food doesn't work in battle.

💎 Items

  • Stone Combination and caught Soul Orbs always come out tradable. System Gift inputs are used first, so you keep the tradable ones.
  • Dismantling an ordinary piece with a System Gift alchemy stone now gives ordinary materials.
  • Ancestral Stones and the Ancestral set are always a System Gift.
  • Challenge-zone boss EXP pills drop bound, like that zone's loot boxes.
  • Golden Diagram now leans toward the small nugget.

📜 Quests

  • Six missing quest bosses are back in Kalar Peninsula, Elven Lands and Gray Zone. Mighty Pirate Captain, Warm-up Before the Big Battle, Rebel Leader, Source of Evil, Evolution & Mutation and Cut the Weed at the Root can all be finished now.
  • Silver Fox Guard's Trust can be finished: each guard member's quest now gives the keepsake it asks for.
  • Three Part-Time Job steps no longer ask for crafting materials: Desert Work [Part 2], Army Job [Completed] and Wasteland Odd Jobs [Completed] are now just a report to the NPC.

📱 Phones & Tablets

  • Busy towns run much faster on phones, and shadows cost a fraction of what they did.
  • Older iPads and iPhones that froze now lower graphics quality on their own. If yours still struggles, pick "Fast" in Graphics or update iOS.
  • A phone whose graphics crashed restarts at the lightest settings. A browser that can't start graphics now says so instead of hanging on the loading screen.
  • iPhone Safari: no more accidental zoom, the HUD fits with the toolbar open, and the chat bar sits above the keyboard.
  • Install button for phones and tablets on the home screen.

🛠️ Small Things

  • Up-star: the Memory Gem slot shows a plus until you add one.
